Rachel decided to start a Mindfullness, Yoga, and Meditation Group for young POC students who have no health insurance, very little parent involvement, and low income in the High School she works in. Rachel told me one of the issues is that the students believe that "black people don't do yoga" and therefore wanted the flyer to change their thinking on this so I started hunting for POC doing yoga. I awesomely found an illustration by DeAnthony Dulaney. I hit him up and asked if I could purchase his artwork for this flyer. He not only agreed but re-drew it. The image was perfect... a woman of color...with locs in a B-Boy Like Yoga Pose. Hip Hop is Yoga! I bow to his creative spirit. You can check out more of his work at @iam_diplomat on Instagram.
