About Us
The studio
Nye’ Lyn Tho Studio is an independent creative studio run by me and my wife, Genoa. We work across design, photography, and storytelling.
We’re based in Upstate New York, in the Hudson Valley, but our roots run through Virginia Beach and the Bay Area. We still work with a lot of our longtime clients in Oakland and San Francisco, and we take on projects wherever the right people are.
Those people are usually nonprofits, small businesses, community leaders, and organizations that are trying to make real change. Over the years we’ve also worked with institutions like UCSF and brands like Red Bay Coffee, Sephora, and Uber Eats. Some of our favorite projects have been helping local councilmembers and activists show up as themselves.
Whether it’s a logo, a publication, a website, or a portrait, we start in the same place. We want to know who you are, what you’re trying to say, and who needs to hear it. Then we make something that looks good and also feels true.
Sometimes you know exactly what you need. Sometimes you just have a feeling or a story you don’t know how to tell yet. Either one is a fine place to start. Bring us your ideas, your questions, or just the feeling you want to hold onto, and we’ll figure it out together.
