Nye Lyn Tho

I’m a designer and photographer, and I’ve never really seen those as two separate things. Both are about how people, organizations, and ideas get seen.

I got into this work because of my own experience. I learned early how much it means to see yourself and your story reflected back with care, and I haven’t stopped thinking about that. These days it shapes how I work. I pay attention to whose voices are in the room, what a visual is saying, and how it will feel to the person on the other end.

I’m curious about people, and that’s probably the thing that drives the work most. It’s also why I’m into astrology. I like the question underneath the question, the “why” behind someone’s story.

Outside the studio:

1. If I’m not working, I’m probably reading or watching a psychological thriller, hiking with my wife, Genoa, or trying to guess our waiter’s sign.
2. I have 10 siblings. (Lots of fire and earth signs.)
3. If it wasn’t obvious from the first two points, I’m obsessed with astrology.
