"The Abundant Birth Project is the first pregnancy income supplement program in the US. They combat racial disparities in birth outcomes by providing unconditional cash supplements to Black and Pacific Islander mothers. This is as a strategy to reduce preterm birth and improve economic outcomes for our communities." The Abundant Birth Project wanted their logo redesigned (updated). The pregnant person was to remain in silhouette to double as the "B" in Birth. The original direction called for both communities of (Black and Pacific Islander mothers) to be represented in the mark. In the end they went with having two distinct marks to represent both. Abundant, vibrant, healthy, Black and Pacific Islander were key words.
