100 Strangers

100 Strangers

HELLO. You’ve found my 100 Strangers Project! This Flickr project consists of 10,050 photographers, both amateur and professional, moving about the world asking complete strangers to take their photo. Most photographers approach this project to sharpen their technical skills. Others are looking to engage their social skills and some of us do it for both! I definitely could afford to be more social while exploring new ways to shoot portraits & experiment with various techniques/lenses. This project is exhilarating!  I’m getting way more familiar with my devices while coming out of my comfort zone and getting to know the brilliant people that surround me.

The challenge is to take at least 100 photographs of 100 people that we don’t know. We approach anyone and ask for permission to both take a photo of them and to post it to the Flickr group. We must get to know our strangers. Who they are. What their life is like..etc. Or we can just describe our interaction with them.

You can see a slideshow of my strangers below. However, the richer images live here on Flickr.
